Some projects could also be used for younger children too, super flexible for families.
These activities were created by a homeschooling mother and son team who know from the inside what it’s like to need something that actually works — not just something that looks good on a curriculum plan. Everything in here has been designed to be engaging, not just educational
F.A.Q.’S
1/ Are the recipes suitable for someone who has some food allergies?
Yes, the recipes are dairy, refined sugar free and gluten free with options for egg free as well. There is also a substitution list if you would like to make changes as well.
2/ Are these your own recipes?
Yes, my son and I created them together. We wanted to share them with other homeschoolers so they could also enjoy them and be excited learning to cook together.
3/ Why would i want to teach my children to cook?
Cooking is definitively a life skill! It is a skill they will benefit from their entire life so they can be independent. People that can cook often eat out less and spend less money on food that isn’t as healthy. Also learning to cook can help increase our confidence, when we cook from scratch we feel good about ourselves that we actually made this!
4/ My child is a picky eater will they still like the recipes?
To be honest I am not sure because every child is unique, but I can tell you that other children have tried the recipes and they have liked them. Also, I know for sure that when someone makes their own food, they are more likely to like it because they made it.
Those oatmeal cookies are to die for! My friend, who laughs at me about anything gluten free and dairy free, cannot get enough of them”. K.V.D., Mom of 2
