Free Valentine’s Printables: Random Acts of Kindness Calendar for a Month of Love

Free Valentine’s Printables That Help You Do Good All Month!
Are you looking for free Valentine’s printables? Here’s something off the beaten path of tacky Valentine’s cards with embarrassing and inappropriate messages. Why not lean in to the message of kindness and caring that is at the heart (pun intended) of the day?
Did you know that February is Random Acts of Kindness month? Yes! It is the month that we go around and just do good. So, these free Valentine’s printables help you do that with both a calendar of ideas and a blank version so you can use your own ideas.
Here are some ways that you can use these free Valentine’s printables.

Ways to Use
The ready to use version
As I mentioned, there are two types of pages included. One set of pages has 24 ideas ready for you to use in both a color version and a black and white version. With the colored version, you can cross off each activity as you do it. These activities are quite easy to do and I recommend this version for the littles. It is best if they practice these acts of kindness with family members or known neighbors. The black and white version is great if you want to color in the activity as it’s done instead of just check it off.
The blank version
This version is my favorite to use with school-aged children. It is super fun to brainstorm ideas together and put them on the free Valentine’s printables blank calendar. Then, you could use in the same way as the completed version, crossing off each activity as you do it. Or, you could put all your ideas in a jar and write them into your calendar as you do them until you have 24.
Another fun thing you could do with the blank ones is to create a calendar around a particular theme, such as gratitude habits, small chores, or small kindnesses (such as placing affirmation stones, cleaning a stranger’s windshield of snow, beautiful coloring pages, etc.). The theme could also be based on a specific demographic, such as a nursing home or a homeless shelter.
The important things to remember are:
- keep the activities small and somewhat easy to do. If one activity is to shovel the snow from a neighbor’s driveway, that’s going to be too hard for child to do. But, if the activity is to sweep the snow from their stairs, that’s more doable.
- keep the activities age appropriate. Littles should do acts of kindness for family members. School-aged children can do acts of kindness for neighbors. Activities done for strangers should be a family affair.
- remember to have fun! Serving others is fun. Giving warms the heart far more than getting. Children will want to continue to do kind things for others if they are having fun doing it.
Ways to add variety to these free Valentine’s printables
Make it a challenge! How many can you do in a week? How many new people can you bless as a family? If you have competitive siblings, make it a contest. You could make it a personal challenge or a new family activity. If your children are older, you can add stipulations like it has to be a stranger or a neighbor, not a sibling. Or, maybe it is specifically for a sibling to strengthen relationships.
